The City of Melbourne seeks an energetic, motivated, customer and results focused candidate to be the new Parks Operation Manager and the leader of the Parks Division Team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate advanced knowledge of Park maintenance operations principles and practices and working knowledge of arboriculture, horticulture, chemical application, irrigation and landscape design and maintenance; develop short and long range plans, policies and procedures; develop and manage annual budget and Capital Improvement program (CIP) and projects; skilled in supervision/HR practices and principles and managing performance expectations; facility maintenance and small and large maintenance equipment operation. Ability to provide administrative and professional leadership and direction to the Parks Division.
Four year college degree and experience in Parks Management, Public Administration or related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible parks management/supervisory experience in a public or private organization.
